Subject: Request for a documented revision of origin and identity categories, observed 6 October 2026

Dear Category Taxonomy and Trust & Safety team, Aylo / Pornhub,

This is a formal request for a documented revision of every category that assigns performers to a race, a continent, a multi-national region, or a gender-identity genre. The findings below were taken from the public lists at pornhub.com/categories, pornhub.com/gay/categories, and pornhub.com/lesbian/categories on 6 October 2026. The request covers Straight, Gay, and Sapphic. It does not ask the platform to withdraw discovery by origin or by self-identified gender. It asks the platform to stop using, as primary identity metadata, units coarser than the populations they name, and to apply one resolution of classification to every performer.

A catalogue that claims to index persons has no defensible use for exploitation, and no defensible use for unequal classification. Metadata must be self-assigned, comparable across groups, and must not convert any group into a product type.

1. Observed taxonomy

On Straight, the umbrella origin categories and their video counts were Arab 25,871, Asian 75,345, Ebony 50,036, Euro 3,967, Indian 15,430, Interracial 42,515, and Latina 125,358. Transgender was a separate primary category of 30,109 videos. No category named White, Black, Middle Eastern, or Latino was present. The editorial text of the same page nevertheless reads "White babes, Latina bombshells and ebony divas" and "petite Asians". The public lists do not describe any of these categories as a medical or psychiatric classification.

A nationality layer is already in production, limited to nine tags: Brazilian 26,392, British 24,623, Czech 10,626, French 16,567, German 18,204, Italian 15,684, Japanese 38,447, Korean 5,032, and Russian 35,714. Japanese and Korean stand beside Asian. Brazilian stands beside Latina. Indian stands beside Asian as its own category. The six European national tags coexist with Euro, which holds 3,967 videos, fewer than any one of those national tags. Euro is a separate bin, not a parent aggregate of the national tags. Country-level indexing is an existing function, applied selectively.

Gay uses a different nomenclature for the same sort: Black 3,613 rather than Ebony, Latino 5,106 rather than Latina, plus Asian 3,172, Euro 5,046, Interracial 4,124, and Japanese 1,712. No Transgender category appeared on that list. Sapphic carries both Black 4,810 and Ebony 8,972, together with Arab, Asian, Brazilian, Indian, Interracial, and Latina, and divides trans performers into Transgender 192 and Trans Lesbian 475.

Language is a separate filter, containing French, Spanish, German, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Arabic, Portuguese, Czech, Filipino, Thai, Ukrainian, Polish, Dutch, Hindi, Chinese, and Persian. Filipino, Thai, Chinese, Hindi, and Persian are retrievable as languages and are not retrievable as origin. A language filter is not an origin classification.

2. Definition and scope

For this request, a category is in scope if it places performers from more than one nation, language family, ancestry component, or gender trajectory into a single searchable identity that those performers did not set. On the lists of 6 October 2026 this class comprises Arab, Asian, Ebony, Black, Euro, Indian, Latina, Latino, Interracial, Transgender, and Trans Lesbian, in every section where each name occurs. A review confined to two tags would leave the classification error in place.

Asian is applied across East, Southeast, South, and often Central Asia, approximately forty-eight states under standard geographic definitions, and across language families that include Sino-Tibetan, Japonic, Koreanic, Austroasiatic, Tai-Kadai, Austronesian, Indo-European, Dravidian, and Turkic. The page copy further reduces it to a phenotype, "petite Asians". Because Japanese and Korean already exist as national tags, the residual Asian bin is the remainder after two countries have been removed, not a population.

Latina on Straight and Sapphic, and Latino on Gay, collapse Latin America and the Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking Caribbean. The coexistence of Brazilian shows that a national tag is already treated as more precise, and is then withheld from Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, the Hispanic Caribbean, and the rest of the region. Indigenous American, European, and West African ancestry proportions differ substantially across those regions.

Ebony on Straight, Black on Gay, and the pair Black and Ebony on Sapphic collapse West, Central, East, and Southern African populations with Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Latin American, and African-American populations. Two names for one undeclared unit, inside a single section, are evidence that the unit has no operational definition.

Arab names a linguistic and geographic region, while Persian occurs only in the language filter. Indian is a separate category from Asian. Euro coexists with six European national tags and leaves every other European population without a name. Interracial defines a work by a contrast between these bins and is meaningful only if the bins are accepted as units. White, as used in the categories-page copy, is an unmarked residual: present in the address to users, absent as a category, and therefore unavailable to the performers it implicitly sorts.

Transgender falls under the same rule of unequal resolution. It is a primary genre of 30,109 videos on Straight, two small bins on Sapphic, and absent from the Gay category list. Gender identity is not a sex act, not a body-type class, and not a counterpart to Asian or Latina. Whether the platform assigns the tag from appearance was not determined from the public lists. Unequal category status across Straight, Gay, and Sapphic was observed. Trans performers remain entitled to the same national-origin tag and the same free-text self-description as every other performer.

3. Scientific basis

The apportionment of human genetic diversity places the large majority of variation within populations rather than between the continental groupings historically called races. At a typical locus, about 85 percent of variation lies within populations (Lewontin, 1972, Evolutionary Biology 6: 381-398). Genome-wide sequencing of 2,504 individuals from 26 populations recovers structure that is geographically graded and nested below the labels Asian, African, European, and Latino (The 1000 Genomes Project Consortium, 2015, Nature 526: 68-74). Correlated allele-frequency differences do permit probabilistic assignment to broad ancestry clusters (Rosenberg et al., 2002, Science 298: 2381-2385; Edwards, 2003, BioEssays 25: 798-801). That result does not validate the bins in section 1. The clusters recovered by structure analysis are finer than those bins, they do not reproduce the three incompatible nomenclatures used across Straight, Gay, and Sapphic, and they do not license the substitution of a nationality by a continent. A primary tag coarser than the empirical structure misstates the biology, whether or not a between-group signal exists.

Racial labels of this grain are social classifications with a documented history in administration and media markets, not natural kinds (American Anthropological Association, Statement on Race, 1998). Used as retrieval keys, they train search and recommendation to return a stereotype in place of a description. The performer who receives a national tag is described. The performer left in Arab, Asian, Ebony, Black, Latina, Latino, or Transgender is sorted. Unequal resolution is unequal treatment.

4. Operative request

The following is requested as a single rule for Straight, Gay, and Sapphic.

1. Adopt country or national origin as the primary origin tag for every performer, assigned from verified self-identification, and extend the existing nine-country layer to every country from which performers upload.
2. Retain Arab, Asian, Ebony, Black, Euro, Indian, Latina, and Latino only as optional secondary filters, under one shared name per bin across all three sections, never displayed as a performer's identity.
3. Remove the Black / Ebony duplication on the Sapphic list.
4. Withdraw Transgender and Trans Lesbian as genre categories. Record gender identity solely by self-identification, in a field parallel to national origin, with equal status in Straight, Gay, and Sapphic, and do not assign it from appearance.
5. Provide a short free-text field for ancestry or identity in the performer's own terms.
6. Withdraw Interracial as a primary category, or derive it from the national-origin tags of the participants.
7. Remove racial direct address from category-page copy, including the phrases "White babes", "Latina bombshells", "ebony divas", and "petite Asians".
8. Publish the revised taxonomy, the list of retired primary labels, and the effective date.

I request a written determination stating whether the review will be opened, confirming that its scope is all three sections, every umbrella origin category, and Transgender, and stating the timeline for a decision.

Respectfully,
The senders of this request. Each submission includes the sender's name and country of origin.
